It's crazy to think that The Grandest Stage of them All will be back for its 39th iteration in a few months. Although there's still a couple of events to go between now and then, all eyes are already on what will happen at WrestleMania 39. The two-night event will likely feature Roman Reigns and it's been heavily implied that The Rock will be part of the festivity seeing that it will be held in Los Angeles. But, if we believe the recent reports, the WWE has other plans for the main event.

According to Wrestling News, the WWE is still trying to finalize its plans with The Rock for WrestleMania 39. The goal is to have The Rock locked in before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view next month. But, if the WWE can't lock in the Great One for WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns, the alternative is to bring the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes, back, as the top main challenger to the Tribal Chief. In turn, the main event for the other night of WrestleMania 39 will involve Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
If this is true, then the status of Reigns as a double champion will change. Since Reigns can't exactly defend both titles on the same or consecutive nights, the WWE might be planning for Reigns to lose one of his titles before then.
We already know that we should keep a close eye on how the WWE will book Reigns in the lead-up to WrestleMania 39. This new info only reinforces that.
Speaking of WrestleMania 39, we still haven't heard about the potential match-up between John Cena and Logan Paul. We're also waiting on news of the potential returns of Goldberg and Stone Cold.
