Most likely, Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play will arrive in time for the game's second season.

Treyarch Studios confirmed that players of the latest Call of Duty game will enjoy multiple competitive modes and ranked skill divisions as well as visible skill ratings and a top player leaderboard, among others, not too long from now.

Treyarch promises to reveal more about Modern Warfare 2's ranked play in a later update. Until then, Modern Warfare 2 players looking to scratch that competitive itch can play the CDL Moshpit playlist on November 16 when Season 1 launches alongside Warzone 2.0 and the new DMZ mode. In addition, Treyarch confirmed that it's shutting down Black Ops Cold War League Play and Vanguard Ranked Play in a few weeks, giving players only until November 12 to claim their rewards.
