Quantum Error will arrive on the PlayStation 5 this November

Last month, TeamKill Media announced plans to release the horror video game on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Quantum Error is a cosmic horror shooter game that has been in development since 2020.

This year has been terrifyingly good for the horror genre, both in terms of video games as well as movies and shows about things that go crawling in the night and things don't look like they'll be changing anytime soon.

A few days ago, the Montana-based studio TeamKill Media announced that its highly-anticipated cosmic horror shooter video game will arrive on the PlayStation 5 on November 3. The game, titled Quantum Error, has been some time coming. TeamKill Media first announced it in 2020 and fans have been anticipating it since then.

Quantum Error will see gamers take on the garb of a firefighter on a mission to save the lives of workers from a burning facility. However, he realizes things are not entirely what they seem and his rescue mission turns into a battle for survival.

From the game's description, we know it has both first-person and third-person perspectives. We also know it is set in a so-called Quantum Age, which means there will be some futuristic technology involved.

The description reads, "Explore and descend deep into the high tech yet esoteric Monad facility and beyond, to interstellar travel, encountering enemies and bosses from the familiar to the inexplicable. Ride a rollercoaster of cosmic horror as you fall deeper and deeper into the unknown."

Originally, TeamKill Media planned to release Quantum Error on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

Last month, TeamKill Media announced it would no longer develop a PlayStation 4 version of the game.

But then, the developers behind the game realized the PlayStation 4 version will cause a serious drop in its quality and they didn't want that. Because of this, the studio decided to kill off the PS4 version and release it exclusively on the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X

By the way, TeamKill Media has promised that its game will tow a different line from the blatant cash grab that many recent video games have proven to be.

When a fan asked if the PlayStation 5 release meant the studio will be releasing exclusive content on that platform, the studio said no. The studio went on to say that Quantum Error will not have any exclusive content or microtransactions on any platform.

If this turns out to be true, it will be a breath of fresh air and proof to many gamers that developers who care about them still exist.

TeamKill Media will release Quantum Error for the PlayStation on November 3. If you want the game, you can wishlist it on the PlayStation store via this link.

At the moment, we do not know when the studio will release the Xbox Series X/S and PC versions.
