PS Plus October 2021 games have leaked early (again)

Hell Let Loose, Mortal Kombat X, and PGA Tour 2K21 will reportedly be part of the October 2021 PS Plus free games lineup.

They say that there are only two things in life that are guaranteed: death and taxes.

Hell Let Loose isn't the most popular game, but most who've played it seem to love it so far.

At this point, we're inclined to disagree. These past few months, several sources have successfully leaked the upcoming month's PS Plus games offering days if not weeks before the official announcement. This time around, it's the PS Plus October 2021 games lineup that has been revealed.

Dealabs is at it again with its PS Plus leaks

NetherRealm's Mortal Kombat X is still one of the best fighting games around.

Just like the September 2021 lineup, Dealabs is the source of the recent October 2021 PS Plus lineup leak. Several sources have since corroborated Dealabs' claims, which suggests that the leak is authentic. Of course, before you proceed to read which games will be given away to PS Plus subscribers this October 2021, we recommend taking everything that you just read with a grain of salt.

For October 2021, Sony is giving away Hell Let Loose to PS5 players alone. This is perhaps the most surprising inclusion so far. The game isn't out on consoles yet until next month. The multiplayer tactical first-person shooter currently has a Very Positive rating on Steam across 32,000+ reviews after releasing on the PC earlier this year. If nothing else, the freebie should tide shooter fans over while they wait for Call of Duty: Vanguard, Battlefield 2042, and Halo Infinite, all of which are scheduled to come out later this year.

Don't worry. If you weren't able to get your hands on the PS5 or don't plan on doing so anytime soon, the offerings for the PS4 aren't half-bad either. 2015's Mortal Kombat X comes available for free, along with 2020's PGA Tour 2K21.

Both games are excellent free titles. The latter, in particular, is a great game for golfing fans who are looking forward to seeing the next PGA Tour 2K game with Tiger Woods in it and EA's newly revived EA Sports PGA Tour series.

With that said, there is still time for PS Plus subscribers to grab last month's free games. Although none of last month's free games were "new", all are still worth getting. Predator: Hunting Grounds is a fun multiplayer shooter and Hitman 2 remains one of the best stealth games around. Meanwhile, if you have a PS5, you can get Overcooked! All You Can Eat, which we included in our list of the best co-op games.
