Sony's March PS Plus offerings are usually the ones to keep an eye out for, but it appears that the console manufacturer is looking to throw a curveball this year. After revealing a bountiful lineup for this month's PS Plus Essential lineup, the earlier leaks suggest that subscribers to the Extra and Premium tiers will enjoy a particularly heavy bundle starting on February 21.

billbill_kun, who's accurately leaked upcoming PS Plus lineups for years, claims that the February update to Sony's premier subscription service will add the following games:
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Scarlet Nexus
- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
- Borderlands 3
Obviously, the highlight of the leaked PS Plus games is Horizon Forbidden West. Last year's highly anticipated follow-up to Horizon Zero Dawn was a GOTY contender and follows Aloy into what was previously considered uncharted territory for the fledgling series. In addition to getting excellent reviews at launch, Forbidden West is an excellent graphics showcase for the PlayStation 5, which should now be easier to get than before. Finally, Forbidden West's inclusion later this month could help nudge the sales of the series' first spin-off, Horizon Call of the Mountain, after the reports that the PSVR2 won't be selling as well as expected.
Forbidden West is also getting an expansion later this year with the release of the PS5-exclusive (the game runs surprisingly well on the PS4) DLC, Burning Shores, so the addition of Aloy's latest outing is definitely excellent news.
Scarlet Nexus and Borderlands 3 are welcome additions as well, albeit niche. The last of the four, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, is part of the outgoing PS Plus Collection, so we're hoping Sony will bring the rest of the PS5-exclusive lineup to the Premium and/or Extra tier going forward as well.
Ultimately, these four shouldn't be the only new games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers on February 21. It wouldn't surprise us if Sony added a couple of VR titles with the PSVR2 set to launch on February 20.
Speaking of the PlayStation, Sony's next State of Play is expected sometime later this month or in early March.
