Sasha Grey, a popular Twitch streamer, announced that she will voice a new character in the planned expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 titled Phantom Liberty. She announced by quote-retweeting a post from the official CD Projekt Red Twitter account asking people to create a music track and submit it for the DLC. The character, Ash, is a DJ for the in-game radio station 89.7 Growl FM.
Grey, whose real name is Marina Ann Hantz, is an actress, musician, model, and writer. At the moment, there is no information on whether her likeness will also be used for the character. By the way, Phantom Liberty won’t be the first video game where Grey will be voice acting. She has previously voiced Viola DeWynter in Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row: Gat out of Hell, which were released in 2011 and 2015 respectively.
Phantom Liberty is Cyberpunk 2077’s only planned major expansion and it will only be available on next generation consoles. CD Projekt Red has provided some information on the DLC, including a short trailer.

The DLC will see Keanu Reeves reprise his role as Johnny Silverhand, alongside several new characters, including a mysterious new figure. It will also include new environments for Night City. However, CD Projekt Red has plans to develop a sequel to the game. Codenamed Project Orion, the sequel will be developed by a new studio CD Projekt Red North America.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing game that follows V, a mercenary skilled in hacking, machinery, melee, and combat, across Night City as he struggles to maintain his sanity after a cybernetic implant threatens to supplant his memories and personality with that of a dead celebrity. The game was originally released in 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, it was riddled with bugs and sometimes unplayable to the point that Sony and Microsoft had to delist it from their respective stores and offer refunds to buyers.
In the two years since then, the CD Projekt Red team has cleaned up the bugs and turned things around. Following the team’s effort, gamers have changed their opinions of the game from negative to positive. What’s more? Thanks in part to the release of the Netflix anime series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the game has sold over 20 million copies and replaced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as the top selling Steam game.
What’s even more? CD Projekt Red recently released an official modding tool, REDMod for Cyberpunk 2077, for members of the PC gaming community to create custom content. It has also helped generate more interest in the game.
Phantom Liberty is scheduled for release sometime in 2023. Until CD Projekt Red releases the DLC,
