Score big discounts at the PlayStation Store Summer Sale

Sony is discounting its PS5 titles as part of the PlayStation Store Summer Sale.

Sony has been rightfully criticized for selling its PS5 games at a higher price than PlayStation 4 games. On the flip side, you can't exactly say that the current-gen titles aren't worth it.

Roguelike action shooter Returnal is available for a hefty discount since it was released in April 30, 2021.

Most, if not all, the PS5 games that Sony has released so far for its current-gen console have been worthy of the higher price tag. But, even if the price is justified, it doesn't mean that you should always pay full prices for games. The more economical gamers will always find a way to save money while still be able to build up their games library.

If you've been waiting for a sale to add more games to your PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, then we've got good news for you.

What to buy from the PlayStation Store Summer Sale

Now is a good time to get your hands on Demon's Souls.

Sony has just discounted thousands of games via its PlayStation Store Summer Sale event. The promotion will run through August 18 for most titles, with the discounted period lasting only until August 4 for certain games.

We recommend checking out some of the games on your wishlist to see how long you'll have to get them for a lower price and how much of a discount you could get.

With that said, the PlayStation Store Summer Sale represents one of the few opportunities that you can buy first-party Sony games at a discount.

PS5 exclusives like Bluepoint Games' Demon's Souls and Housemarque's Returnal are both available at a lower price. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy: A Big Adventure are cross-gen titles that are also available at a discount.

For a full list of discounted titles, you can check out the official PlayStation Blog post.
