Netflix just dropped a blood-soaked trailer for Season 4 of Ozark

Fans have waited for Ozark Season 4 for a while, but the latest trailer definitely did not disappoint.

After Ozark Season 3 was released in March 2020, fans have been looking forward to seeing the 14-episode final season of the crime drama streaming TV series. Finally, after over a year of radio silence, Netflix revealed a new clip from Ozark Season 4 at its virtual showcase, TUDUM.

'Ozark' will premiere in two seven-episode parts with a 2022 release date.

The first Ozark Season 4 clip makes the wait worth it

Fans will have waited for at least two years by the time Season 4 premieres in 2022.

Each of the Netflix original series' first seasons was composed of only ten episodes each. However, for its final season, Netflix is adding four more episodes while splitting it into two parts. This means that Ozark will technically have two more seasons coming consisting of seven episodes each. Although the expanded final season is good news for the series fans, it also means that Netflix will need to spend more time cooking it up in the proverbial lab, so to speak.

Thankfully, audiences were treated to their first-ever look at Ozark Season 4 at the TUDUM showcase. The series' star Jason Bateman himself confirmed that the final Ozark season will hit Netflix sometime in 2022.

In the 1-minute long teaser, Marty and Wendy are inside a huge mansion as they clean their bloodied selves up. This suggests that bodies are going to continue piling up in the final season of Ozark.

Ozark has been one of Netflix's best TV series since its first season premiered back in 2017. It has received several nominations and awards, including 32 Primetime Emmy Award nominations. The story follows the Byrde family as they move to Missouri to set up a money-laundering scheme following a previous partnership with a Mexican drug cartel that falls through. Unfortunately, their move from the Chicago suburbs sunk the family even deeper into the criminal underworld.

Judging from what we've seen in the brief teaser, the husband-and-wife duo still hasn't recovered from the events of the Season 3 finale. The last season ended with Navarro shooting Helen right in front of Marty and Wendy, which suggests that we can see more of the Mexican drug cartel in Season 4.
