Baseball fans will be thrilled to learn that MLB The Show 23's cover athlete and release date have both been revealed by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Miami Marlins middle infielder Jazz Chisholm will feature as the cover star of the game, which is scheduled to be launched on March 28 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The Collector's Edition of the game will also be revealed on February 2. Additionally, eager gamers will have the chance to preorder the game starting February 26.

Developed by San Diego Studio, MLB The Show 23 will retail at $59.99 for the PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions and $69.99 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. The latter versions will include five card packs for the Diamond Dynasty mode and 10,000 stubs of the in-game currency. In keeping with the previous titles of the game series, the standard edition of the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.

Gamers will also be pleased with the full crossplay, cross-saving, and cross-progression support features included in the game. However, only PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners will be able to enjoy some features like Stadium Creator.
