Minecraft has consistently remained one of the most beloved gaming franchises, thanks in large part to its versatility. Numerous well-known entertainment IPs have made crossovers with Minecraft, but none has surprised fans more than the most recent DLC.

With no forewarning to fans, Minecraft dropped the Mega Man X DLC, a crossover collaboration with game developer Capcom, this week. The new DLC includes 14 new skins, 9 new weapons, the Mega Man X soundtrack, and villains like Chill Penguin, Storm Eagle, Armored Armadillo, and Sting Chameleon. Players will also have the option of playing the DLC in either solo or multiplayer mode.
As players go through the levels, they can also use bolts to upgrade their character with more heart slots or extra lives, in between missions. The cost of acquiring the Mega Man X DLC is 1340 Minecraft coins (in-game currency), which roughly equates to around $8.
Speaking of Capcom, the Japanese game developer is currently developing a VR mode for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake. The PSVR2 mode will be launched as free DLC. Resident Evil 4 Remake is scheduled to be released on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and the PC on March 24.
