The long wait for Minecraft Legends is finally coming to an end following the announcement of the game's release date during the Xbox and Bethesda Developer_Direct Showcase.

Developed by Mojang Studios in collaboration with Blackbird Interactive and published by Xbox Game Studios, Minecraft Legends will be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on April 18.
The action-strategy game is a spin-off of the critically acclaimed Minecraft game and takes place inside the open-world Minecraft universe during an invasion by the piglins from the Nether.
As the Nether spreads its corruption across the Overworld, players will be tasked with saving the Overworld and bringing together its mobs to help defend their home.
Similar to the previous games in the series, Minecraft: Legends will employ a procedurally-generated world, which means that various locations with resources on the map will be completely randomized each time, creating a new experience every match. In addition to the campaign mode, players can also play in either co-op mode or the newly-introduced PvP mode.
Minecraft Legends also supports cross-platform play between all game consoles and PC, making it easier for you to play with friends regardless of the platform they are using.
Aside from Minecraft Legends, Microsoft also revealed the release date for Redfall at the first Developer Direct showcase as well.
