Earlier this month Microsoft revealed to the UK Competition and Markets Authority that its Xbox Game Pass subscription service cannibalizes game sales.
However, this doesn’t seem to affect the company’s decision to continue supporting the service as it has now confirmed that four more games will arrive to its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers in the coming weeks.
Microsoft confirmed the lineup when it revealed Atomic Hearts as a day-one addition. The company is also adding the puzzle game Merge & Blade, alongside the supernatural role-playing game Soul Hackers 2 on February 28. Up next, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to play the racing title F1 22 from March 2 and the action role-playing game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty a day after on March 3.
Earlier this month, the Xbox Game Pass saw the addition of the following titles to its catalog:
- Madden NFL 22
- Cities: Skylines Remastered
- SD Gundam Battle Alliance
- Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition
- Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
Unfortunately, when titles come, some also go. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be unable to access the following titles from February 28:
- Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
- Alien: Isolation
- Crown Trick
- Octopath Traveler
- Dragon Ball FighterZ
- Far: Changing Tides
- Madden NFL 21
All of the above titles are currently available to Game Pass subscribers on the console, PC, and cloud, except for Madden NFL 21, Alien: Isolation, and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, which are only available on the console and PC.
By the way, Microsoft is currently offering subscribers to its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate package a three-month trial access to Apple TV+ and Apple Music. The offer is available until March beyond which Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will no longer be able to claim it.
In other news, Team Ninja recently revealed it will release a demo of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on February 24, a week before its full debut on March 3. The video game developer also released a gameplay trailer in January that provided insight into the title’s game mechanics.
All of the new titles coming to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be available on the cloud, console, and PC, except for F1 22 which will only be available on the console and PC. Three of the new titles – Atomic Hearts, Soul Hackers 2, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – will also be available to regular Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
