Lords of the Fallen is one of the most highly anticipated titles for 2023. The release date hasn’t been officially announced yet, but we now have information that it is releasing late in the year, likely sometime during the Fall (rather appropriately).

Reliable leaker Aggiornamenti Lumia, who often datamines Microsoft's storefronts, shared information for the release date of Lords of the Fallen. The leaked information shows the upcoming ARPG is coming on October 13, 2023.

Lords of the Fallen is a reboot - not a remake, or remaster - of the 2014 dark fantasy action RPG of the same name. The new game is being developed by CI Games and Hexworks, a new subsidiary studio located in Barcelona and Bucharest.
The upcoming ARPG is set around 1,000 years after the events of the first game. According to CI Games, the game world is over five times larger than the one in the original game. The game is developed using Unreal Engine 5 which makes for stunning visuals.
Lords of the Fallen casts players as one of the fabled Dark Crusaders. Gamers set out on an epic adventure to overthrow Adyr (again), a demon God, that has taken over the world (again). CI Games released a technical trailer in March that showcased the Skyrest Bridge, one of the earlier locations in the game.
The trailer also highlighted the game’s two interconnected worlds which players can traverse. "Players will have the ability to travel between two worlds: Axiom, the realm of the living, and Umbral, the realm of the dead," Hexworks said during the trailer.
Players use a lantern to cross between Axiom and Umbral. The realm of the dead serves as a purgatory for your characters when you fall in battle. Players get a chance to be resurrected if they find an anchor point in the Umbral release before time runs out. Dying in Umbral means gamers lose any progress.
Lords of the Fallen will feature a souls-like gameplay experience with seamless online co-op. Players start as one of nine character classes with full customization. The game also features over 100 weapons that players can choose from, ranging from metal to arcane.
Lords of the Fallen is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S later this year.
