Prepare yourselves for the imminent return of the god of mischief, as the highly anticipated Season 2 of Loki has finally received an official release date.

Marvel Studios took to their official Twitter page to reveal that Loki Season 2 is returning on October 6, a few months later than the originally planned summer release. Just like the first season, Season 2 will consist of six episodes.
While details about the second season of Loki remain scarce, Marvel producer Stephen Broussard has hinted at what's to come, indicating that the upcoming season will delve deeper into Loki's heroic transformation.
He was always a little bit of this outsider in Asgard in the royal palace there and I think Season 1 was about discovering that he could be more, and I think Season 2 will continue that in unexpected ways. So I’m excited for people to go on that journey with Loki in the hands of Tom, who is one of the most amazing actors that I’ve ever had the good fortune of working with. It’s amazing to watch him work, watch his range. I think audiences will be excited to see what else he can do with this character.
In the Season 1 finale, Loki and Sylvie team up to defeat He Who Remains. Against Loki's wishes, Sylvie kills the creator of the TVA, resulting in the emergence of a multiverse with unprunable alternate timelines.
Upon returning to the TVA headquarters to warn Mobius, Loki is shocked to find a new variant in power, with Mobius no longer recognizing him.
During the post-credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Loki and Mobius cross paths with an alternate version of Kang named Victor Timely, set in the year 1901 on Earth. Sources indicate that Kang and his variants will have a significant role in the second season of Loki. However, it remains to be seen whether Marvel will opt to recast the Kang character played by the embattled Jonathan Majors.
Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, and Tara Strong will be returning to reprise their roles from the first season. Joining the cast is Ke Huy Quan, who will portray a TVA archivist, and Rafael Casal and Kate Dickie will also be featured in undisclosed roles.
