Lina stars in first Dota: Dragon's Blood Season 2 trailer

Valve treated Dota 2 fans tuning in to The International 10 to the first trailer for Dota: Dragon's Blood Season 2.

Valve and Netflix's recent partnership yielded great results as Dota: Dragon's Blood went on to rack up a significant number of viewers when it was released earlier this year. Not too long after the series premiered, Netflix and Valve confirmed that it's been renewed for a second season. Now, just as the 10th iteration of Dota 2's annual tournament, The International 10, was coming to an end, Valve surprised everyone by debuting the trailer for Dota: Dragon's Blood season 2.

It will be interesting to see which other Dota 2 outside of Lina will appear in Dota: Dragon's Blood Season 2.

Expect to see more dragon's in Dota: Dragon's Blood Season 2

One of the biggest additions to Season 2 of Dota: Dragon's Blood is Lina, the Slayer. The in-game lore didn't explain how Lina can take control of lighting and fire. However, several voice lines do suggest that he's capable of wielding the power of dragons. The show might finally explain how Lina can do this. Also, if Lina's here, then we can assume that her icy sister and rival, Rylai the Crystal Maiden, is going to appear in the show as well.

Speculation aside, the first trailer for Dota: Dragon's Blood season 2 is chock full of what audiences should expect to see in the coming season. For example, if you thought that the first season had a lot of dragons, then be prepared to see even more.

Other notable scenes from the first Dota: Dragon's Blood season 2 trailer includes Mirana leading an army and an army being burned alive (presumably by Lina), as well as Terrorblade threatening an imprisoned Davion and Fymryn while in possession of an old man. By the way, on the topics of dragons, we saw that some of them can breathe out something blue. Might this be confirmation that another Dota 2 hero in Winter Wyvern is going to show up in the series as well?

Marci, Mirana's trusty sidekick, is the next hero to arrive in Dota 2.

In other news, a new Dota 2 hero is coming soon and it's someone straight out of the anime, Marci. Team Spirit also took home the Aegis of Champions after beating PSG.LGD in the Grand Finals of The International 10.

Season of 2 Dota: Dragon's Blood currently does not have a release date.
