It seems like there's a simulator game for everyone and everything these days. One, in particular, is set to release soon that is aimed at those with a green thumb.
Lawn Mowing Simulator is the latest simulator title to hit the market. It's developed by the guys and gals over at Skyhook Games, makers of Human Fall Flat and Bomber Crew. The game is set to release sometime in Summer 2021 for the Xbox Series S and X as a console exclusive. However, it will be available on the PC platform.
What Is Lawn Mowing Simulator?
Lawn Mowing Simulator was officially announced by Curve Digital Communications Manager Daniela Pietrosanu via a blog post on Xbox news and content website, Xbox Wire.
In this simulator title, players can explore the "Great British countryside". However, contrary to what you might have been led to believe, you're not exactly just going to be a dad mowing your own lawn here. Rather, the game features an "expansive roster of licensed lawnmowers from prestigious manufacturers" where players have to manage their own mowing business.
In Lawn Mowing Simulator, players will be able to secure contracts, acquire and upgrade their own headquarters, hire employees, invest in the right kind of advertising, and balance books as they build their lawn care business from scratch.
The game will feature 12 Mowers in total from top-tier manufacturers like Toro, SCAG, and STIGA.
The team reportedly went to great lengths to virtually recreate these machines so that they appear and work in the game as they do in real life. Each Mower in Lawn Mowing Simulator will have its own set of challenges, attachments, as well as upgrades, that players can pursue.
In addition to the standard career mode, Lawn Mowing Simulator also has a free mode where, as the name suggests, you're free to do what you want. You can also play through a challenge mode where the game will put you through your paces as you learn that there's far more to mowing than meets the eye.
When is the Lawn Mowing Simulator Release Date?
Skyhook Games and Curve Digital gave Lawn Mowing Simulator a Summer 2021 release window. However, for players who are eager and interested to try out the game as soon as possible, the Xbox Insider program will make the game accessible from April 2 to April 16.
All players have to do is to pre-register as soon as possible for the said limited-time program.
