During the Monster Hunter April Digital Event, Capcom announced several updates for Monster Hunter Rise as well as their upcoming game, Monster Hunter Stories 2.
Monster Hunter Rise Version 2.0
Monster Hunter Rise will be getting a new free update on April 28, featuring returning elder dragons and other monsters to hunt.
Version 2.0 will give you an option to defeat Apex Monsters such as Apex Rathalos and Apex Diablos. The free title update will also remove the hunter rank cap, and you can take on new quests that can increase your Hunter Rank. Increasing your Hunter Rank will unlock the option to defeat monsters included in the Version 2.0 update.
Aside from Apex Monsters, Capcom will also add returning Elder Dragons in the game. In Version 2.0, Teostra, Kushala Daora, and Chameleos will be available. All of these Elder Dragons first appeared in Monster Hunter 2, and defeating them will let you farm their armor as well. Magnamalo will also appear during Rampage Quests after the Title Update.
