Kevin Feige wants to see Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider in the MCU

The Marvel Studios head just openly called out for The Gray Man actor to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Due to the success of the Infinity Saga, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has secured several Hollywood A-listers in recent years. The most recent one to join was Charlize Theron, who is expected to appear in a future Doctor Strange film as Clea. Now, Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige just "publicly" recruited Ryan Gosling.

Given Gosling's range as an actor, he could probably pull off Ghost Rider.

Technically, Gosling put his name up for consideration first. Gosling recently denied rumors that he's set to star as Nova in the MCU. In the same interview, Gosling revealed that he'd like to join the MCU as Ghost Rider. It appears that Feige and Gosling got a chance to talk to each other not too long after. According to MTV News' Josh Horowitz, Feige shared that he'd "love to find a place for [Ryan] in the MCU."

Feige announced several new MCU projects at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, including the entire Phase 5 slate and the trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. So, if Gosling joins the MCU, we might have to wait until the next SDCC to find out.

Unfortunately, Gosling's schedule might make it difficult for him to join the MCU. Gosling is currently starring alongside Chris Evans in the Russo Brothers film, The Gray Man, on Netflix. The action thriller film is expected to spawn at least one sequel and spin-off with Gosling in tow. In addition to this, Gosling is also busy filming Greta Gerwig's Barbie alongside Margot Robbie, among several others.

Kudos to Gosling. Somehow, he's making his role as Ken in the upcoming live-action Barbie movie work.

Then again, we can never say for sure with the MCU. Nobody expected Charlize Theron to join the billion-dollar cinematic universe and she's part of the MCU now. We're pretty sure Feige and Gosling can make something work if they really want to have Gosling play the Ghost Rider in a future MCU film.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to watching another Ryan join the MCU, probably in Phase 6. Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 3 is expected to signal his arrival in the MCU.
