The latest Jurassic World Dominion trailer is relatively spoiler free

Amidst concerns that Universal is showing off too much of the Jurassic World threequel, the latest trailer is quite tame in the spoiler department.

The second and supposedly final Jurassic World Dominion trailer is finally out in the wild. Don't worry, Universal Pictures chomped down on any potential major plot spoilers for the upcoming threequel.

Life might always find a way, but we're happy that spoilers didn't this time around.

Universal first unveiled the latest trailer for Jurassic World Dominion at its CinemaCon 2022 presentation. Less than 24 hours later, the two-minute-long trailer is here and it puts the spotlight on several of the film's multiple notable predators. Of course, as mentioned, fans are more than happy knowing that Universal took great care not to spoil any significant story details this time around.

For those wondering why a spoiler-free trailer was so important for Dominion, we'll have to dial the clock back to 2018. In the months leading up to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom's release, Universal released a series of trailers that all but spoiled what was going to happen in the movie. By the time the studio dropped Fallen Kingdom's final trailer, fans knew how the story would end.

You wouldn't know it judging from Fallen Kingdom's $1.310 billion global box office take, but audiences weren't happy with how Universal marketed Fallen Kingdom.

Sure, Dominion's trailers do contain some story points.

For example, we know that Blue will play an important role in the film as will the little blue, but this is a given. The past two Jurassic World films highlighted the bond between Chris Pratt's Owen Grady and Blue, the raptor that he helped look after and raise since hatching from an egg. It would be weird if Dominion forgot about this. If anything, Blue is as much of a part of the main cast as Grady is. But, outside of Blue, the trailers focused on the frighteningly tense action sequels as well as the return of the franchise's original action trio.

As the "final" film in the Jurassic Park/World series, we're hoping that Dominion can do more than its predecessors. We'd love nothing more than to see folks remember it as well as they do the 1993 classic.

It appears that Baby Blue is in danger in Dominion.

Only time will tell if Dominion can live up to such expectations. But, at least fans can take solace in the fact that Universal took great care to make sure that the latest dinosaur sci-fi adventure flick remains as much of a surprise for everyone until it roars into theaters on June 10.
