Morgan will join The Boys as a recurring guest. However, his role remains unknown for the moment. He is the third newcomer on the show after Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward, who will play the super-abled characters, Firecracker and Super Sage, respectively.

The third season of the satirical superhero TV show ended on a cliff-hanger as Ryan, Homelander's son with Butcher's late wife, Becca, chose to side with his tyrannical dad over Butcher. This gave off the impression that Ryan could end up on the wrong and dark path. But, with Morgan joining The Boys, fans are curious to see if he'll have a huge part to play in the next season. If nothing else, viewers can expect nothing short of an excellent performance from the seasoned actor.

The Boys Season 4 might be here much earlier than expected.
We're interested to find out if Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character will side with The Seven or The Boys in the fourth season.

Morgan has previously worked with Eric Kripke on Supernatural. He is now the third actor from Supernatural to appear on the show after Jim Beaver in Season 1 and Jensen Ackles in Season 3. Kripke has been trying to get Morgan on the show since 2020 after the season 1 finale aired. He was originally billed to appear in Season 3. However, it proved impossible due to Morgan’s schedule. Fortunately, he has found a way to make things work.

Morgan currently stars as Negan in The Walking Dead, which ends on November 20. He will star in the upcoming The Walking Dead spin-off "The Walking Dead: Dead City" opposite of Lauren Cohen, which is set to air in 2023. While little is known about the series, fans can expect lots of drama and tension between Morgan’s character and that of his co-star, given their history.

Morgan’s other recent television credits include Showtime’s Weeds, ABC’s Grey's Anatomy, and Starz’s Magic City. He has also starred in The Unholy, Rampage, The Postcard Killings, and Walkaway Joe.

At the moment, The Boys season 4 is currently filming in Toronto, Canada, and is scheduled for release sometime in 2023.
