DC Studios recently unveiled Chapter 1 - Gods and Monsters for the DC Universe, which effectively reboots the superhero universe. Naturally, fans are asking about the fate of longtime DC actors such as Gal Gadot.

Will Gal Gadot be a part of Paradise Lost?

Technically, Gunn didn't talk about the future of Gadot and Justice League teammate Ezra Miller during the preview for the first chapter of the DCU. Rather, the director took the time to engage fans on social media and address the future of the actors.

Instagram user vic.rod1219 commented on DC letting go of actors Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot. "Looking forward to the new projects, but I am disappointed you guys let Henry and Gal go but still have Ezra around," the user wrote. "He's a Knucklehead while Henry and Gal have done it all right. Just makes no sense to me."

Gunn replies, "We didn't let Gal go. Ezra's movie is already made. Henry doesn't fit what I have for Superman."

While Gunn’s statement debunks the rumor that the Wonder Woman star was given "the boot", her future in the new DC is still up in the air. However, Gunn has also shared that he met with the Red Notice actor weeks ago.

There's a chance Gadot will still be part of the DC following Gunn’s revelation that he met with the Wonder Woman star. At the moment, the plan is to release a series focusing on the island of Themyscira before the birth of Wonder Woman, which Gunn has likened to Game of Thrones. Gunn may use the TV show to set up the eventual return of Wonder Woman to the DC Universe.

Miller's future in the new DC may be bleak following his legal issues.

Gunn’s comment about Miller, considering his previous legal troubles, may be a sign that the actor will not be returning as Barry Allen. The director had high praises for the upcoming movie, but his future with DC may be much bleaker as there is no current project attached to his character.

With uncertainty surrounding the future of the actors involved in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, "#FireJamesGunn" has once again trended on Twitter. There were previous calls for the removal of the director following the exit of Superman actor Henry Cavill.

For now, only Jason Momoa has been confirmed as a part of the DC Universe among those who appeared in Zack Snyder's Justice League. The actor recently met with Gunn and Safran and teased that he will have four more years with DC while Safran also hinted at the possibility of Aquaman 3.

For now, fans will have to wait for more information regarding the first chapter of the DC Universe. We'll know more about what is in store for audiences in the coming months. Stay tuned.
