Technically, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have starred together in a film as Wolverine and Deadpool, respectively. The two appeared in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, not that most of us, including Reynolds, would like to remember it.
Having said that, Reynolds has made it no secret that he'd like Jackman to get involved with his Deadpool films. The Adam Project actor even masked himself with an image of Jackman near the end of the first Deadpool film. Several years later and with Deadpool 3 set to mark the Merc with a Mouth's arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Reynolds might have finally convinced Jackman to join him.

As you can see from the Tweet above, Jackman appears to be reacting to something as he looks at his phone. Although it does seem like an innocent pic, fans have taken it as a sign that Jackman just received "surprising" news, specifically, something related to Deadpool 3. Of course, it could most likely be just everyone making much ado about nothing, but given Reynolds and Jackman's friendship, we wouldn't be surprised if Jackman finally agreed to star or even cameo in Deadpool 3.
After all, if the MCU's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness can bring back Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, otherwise known as Professor X, what's stopping Marvel Studios from making it happen with Jackman and the role of Wolverine in Deadpool 3? It doesn't even have to be a full return and could be purely for fan service - we highly doubt anyone would mind seeing Jackman again as Wolverine if only for the last time after his character's story came to a fitting conclusion with 2017's Logan.
As for Deadpool, we've had a few updates about the threequel following Reynolds' return from his Hollywood sabbatical. For one, Reynolds recently revealed in an interview that he's hoping to talk more about Deadpool 3 soon, which came after we got word that he'll be reuniting with Shawn Levy after the two worked together in some of the COVID-19 pandemic's biggest hits like 20th Century Studios' Free Guy and Netflix's The Adam Project.
At the end of the day, Jackman's photo probably isn't related to Deadpool 3, but you can't exactly tell fans to stop speculating about something that they know very little about.
