Mortal Kombat 1, the bloody and gory semi-reboot from NetherRealm Studios, has finally been revealed and it will hit the digital and physical stores sooner than expected. But, for the eager fans who can't wait to put the lives of the citizens of NetherRealm, Earthrealm, and the four other realms of existence in their hands, the developers have good news.
According to NetherRealm, there's an exciting way to join the action early. The studio has announced a pre-order system for Mortal Kombat 1 that offers thrilling benefits.
The Kollector's Edition, which sells for $249.99, is a special treat for die-hard Mortal Kombat fans. This edition comes with a variety of enticing extras beyond the usual-in-game loot, including Early Access.
If you pre-order the Kollector's Edition, you can start playing Mortal Kombat 1 on September 14 - five days earlier than everyone else.
Here's everything that's included in the Kollector's Edition:
- All Standard Edition content
- 1 x Kombat Pack
- 1 x 16.5-inch Liu Kang sculpture designed by COARSE
- 1 x Inspired Liu-Kang in-game character skin
- 3 x exclusive art prints
- 1 x Steel Case
- 2,700 Dragon Krystals
The process to get the Kollector's Edition is simple. All you have to do is to head on over to the official Mortal Kombat site, choose the Kollector's Edition, and complete the pre-order.
Once you have confirmed your order, you'll receive instructions on how to access Mortal Kombat 1. Beware that availability is limited, so make sure to place your pre-order quickly.
If, however, you can't get your hands on Mortal Kombat 1 Kollector's Edition, the Premium Edition ($109.99) also adds early access to the game, the Kombat Pack, and 1,250 Dragon Krystals.
While you won't receive extra content that comes with the Kollector's Edition, the Premium Edition will still let you immerse yourself in the Mortal Kombat universe before everyone else.
Mortal Kombat 1 is a promising addition to the controversial franchise, packed with fight scenes and storylines that fans will surely love. The Early Access is a chance for fans to support NetherRealm Studios and not have to wait like everyone else.
With Jean Claude Van Damme and possibly even Arnold Schwarzenegger, Peacemaker and Homelander, all part of Mortal Kombat 1, it wouldn't hurt to splurge for at least a Premium Edition copy of the game.
