A new song is available today for Heardle #86.
If you've been living under a rock for some time, "dle" games have taken over the internet. This is all thanks to Wordle, a viral word guessing game that New York Times had acquired last year. Since then, many other similar games have come out, including Heardle.
Unlike Wordle, Heardle is about guessing songs. You get six shots to try and get the song of the day right. If you guess wrong, the game will let you listen to more of the intro of the song until you either exhaust all your tries or you get it right. If you're reading this, it means that you want to keep your streak.
For Heardle #86, you'll have to hop onto the time machine and go back to a few decades ago.
If you're young, the song isn't going to ring any bells. But, don't worry, we're here to help you.
Here are five clues for the Heardle of the day for May 22:
- The song came out all the way back in 1980
- The band released the song as a non-album single
- The NME named the song the greatest single of all time in 2002
- Many consider the song the defining song of its era
- The single was a post-humous release
Sometimes, you have no choice but to give up. There's no shame in that. If anything, it's exactly what Heardle #86 is all about - knowing how to give up when things get rough.
