Earlier this year, Rockstar Games finally confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 is in the works. Afterward, Rockstar doubled down on its grand ambitions for GTA 6, saying that it wants it to be "the best it can possibly be".

Having said that, fans believe that it's only a matter of time before we hear more about GTA 6, after Rockstar Games penned a letter to GTA 5's developers to thank them for a job well done.
Rockstar opened September with a dedicated page for the thousands of developers who put in the time and effort to work on GTA 5 and GTA Online over the better part of the past decade.
The post reads:
Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online represent the combined efforts of our global team over many years. We want to acknowledge and thank everyone who has contributed to these games, from their original launch in 2013 all the way through to present day.
GTA 5 is one of the best-selling video games in history with more than 169 million units (and counting) sold. Kudos to Rockstar for recognizing that GTA 5 was a collaborative effort. But, plenty of fans are taking this as a sign that the end of GTA 5 is near.
Keep in mind that we are talking about people desperate enough for GTA 6 info that they believe GTA Online's new shirts are teasing the next game's setting. You can only imagine what they're thinking after a statement from the developers even if it's not necessarily talking about GTA 6.
For what it's worth, Take-Two Interactive did not name GTA 6 in its massive release pipeline through 2025. GTA 6 might not be ready for a proper reveal for at least a year. But, if GTA 6 is going to be a game-changer, we wouldn't be surprised if Take-Two is intentionally hiding its presence in its financial reports.
While we'd love to see GTA 6 in the flesh, we'd prefer that Rockstar take its sweet time with the game. We're more than happy to keep ourselves entertained with all these leaks and rumors.
