The Call of Duty franchise goes mobile with Call of Duty: Mobile. Formerly sub-titled as Legends of War and Elite Squad, Call of Duty: Mobile is a free-to-play shooter developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by Activision for Android and iOS devices.

COD Mobile is somewhat of a spiritual successor to Call of Duty. Online, as it takes a "megagame" approach similar to the former, as well as multiple weapons and various other things such as characters and maps from that game, as well as nearly all of the Call of Duty games released prior.

Gameplay

Call of Duty: Mobile players can choose to play ranked or unranked matches in multiplayer mode. They can earn in-game currencies for playing, with winners getting more of it after a match.

There are two types of in-game currency: "Credits" earned by playing games and "COD points" purchased with real money. Some exclusive character and weapon skins can only be purchased with the COD points. However, it is possible to play the entire game without spending real cash.

Apart from standard matchmaking, both multiplayer and battle royale modes also have access to private rooms, where players can invite their in-game friends to battle them. The game also has "Scorestreaks", special weapons that the player can use once they reach certain times and points. Plus, the game offers special exclusive multiplayer modes with different match durations.

Visuals and other features

The HUD for Call of Duty: Mobile features similarities to the current COD games on consoles and PC, but with a more simplified layout. Taking control of the Operator with all the needed commands such as crouch, snipe, reload, and more are clearly indicated.

Starting with the Gunsmith Update introduced in Season 9 Conquest, Call of Duty: Mobile added weapon customization features similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Zombies mode was added to COD: Mobile in November 2019 with one map called Shi No Numa. Zombies mode pitted a team of players against waves of relentlessly attacking zombies. This was played in Endless Survival mode that has features of the classic Zombies mode from other COD games. Plus, there is an option for a Zombies raid mode that unleashed a set number of zombie waves at the players before moving on to a boss fight.

There are also the usual complement of multiplayer modes such as 2v2, Capture the Flag, Snipers Only, One Shot Kill, Gun Game, and many more.
