Gal Gadot’s future in the new DC Universe is still in limbo, but it seems that the actor will return as Wonder Woman in an upcoming DC film.

Gadot’s return as the Amazon Princess has been uncertain since the cancelation of Wonder Woman 3. DC studios revealed last that production of the movie written and to be directed by Patty Jenkins has been discontinued in its current state.
Wonder Woman is also not part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s vision for the new DC Universe. Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman was not included in Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters, which lays the foundation for the future of the comic book film universe. Gunn also addressed Gadot’s future, saying that DC did not let the actor go. Finally, there were also rumors that Gal Gadot’s scenes in The Flash have been cut after the cancelation of Wonder Woman 3.
Now, new information courtesy of a popular toy line suggests that the actor may still be part of the upcoming superhero movie starring Ezra Miller.
Funko spoils the return of Wonder Woman
DC Studios has partnered with Funko to create a lineup of bobblehead toys for The Flash. The toy maker may have spoiled the return of Gadot’s Wonder Woman in the film as the heroine has been featured as a part of the lineup of characters for the movie.
The catalog of bobblehead figures for The Flash contains all the characters that will be on sale once the movie premieres in theaters. Fans have noticed the inclusion of Wonder Woman despite the rumors that her cameo was cut from the movie. The presence of a figurine strongly suggests that Wonder Woman will be playing a part in the movie. It is unlikely that Funko would make a toy figure for a character that does not appear in the film.
This is not the first time that Funko Pop spoiled details for an upcoming movie. Last year, photos of the new Black Panther bobblehead figure circulated online prior to Marvel unveiling the character in its trailers.
Fans quickly deduced Shuri take over the mantle of Wakanda’s protector in the movie after the real-life passing of actor Chadwick Boseman. Marvel aficionados compared the distinct markings on the new Black Panther suit with the decorative paint on Shuri in scenes in the first movie as well as the trailer for Wakanda Forever.
The same thing could be happening with Gal Gadot in The Flash.
Speaking of, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will also be a part of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, according to leaks. Screenshots for the upcoming superhero film show that Diana Prince has a cameo in the Shazam sequel.
We'll find out more about Gadot's DCEU future when Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash premiere on March 17 and June 16, respectively.
