Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is the next big title from Elden Ring developer FromSoftware. Ahead of its release at an unspecified date later this year, FromSoftware will host an hour-long showcase for the upcoming mecha title.
FromSoftware will be at the Taipei Game Show next month to showcase Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. The publisher Bandai Namco has already created a page on its official Youtube channel for the presentation, where it promises to reveal "information that the mercenaries want."
According to FromSoftware, the game's producer, Yasunori Ogura will be a part of the presentation. Unfortunately, it will be pre-recorded, so audience questions will not be answered during the program. Aside from the 20-minute interview, it isn't clear what else is part of the hour-long showcase. We may see a new trailer or gameplay footage for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. However, it may be too early for FromSoftware to reveal a release date for the game.
Fans have been asking about the gameplay and combat mechanics of Armored Core 6. FromSoftware has revealed that the upcoming mecha game will not be a Soulslike style of game and the combat will be more "aggressive, speed change and action-oriented fighting."
Masaru Yamamura said that the game will be focused on the single-player campaign with the highlight being "dynamic and intense boss battles." While the focus is on the single-player mode, the game will still have some multiplayer elements.
We're hoping to see more gameplay and combat mechanics info during the Armored Core 6 presentation. We'd also love to find out more about the mech assembly and customization. Hidetaka Miyazaki has teased that players can adjust each part of their Armored Cores to determine how well each mecha will handle and perform in battles.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will be the latest entry to a classic gaming franchise that dates all the way back to 1997. Before giving birth to the Soulsborne genre, FromSoftware made a name for itself with the mecha franchise. Armored Core 6 marks the return of the studio to the mecha genre for the first time in thirteen years.
The Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will be streaming on Bandai Namco’s official Youtube channel and will be broadcast simultaneously on Twitch, Bilibili, and Huya platforms. The program will air on February 3 at 7 AM EST.
