Forza Motorsport unveils new track in new trailer

Forza Motorsport will be the first installment in the sub-series of the same name since Forza Motorsport 7 in 2017.

Forza Motorsport will be the first entry in the sub-series since 2017.

It's been six years since we had a new Forza Motorsport video game, but things are finally about to change. In October, Xbox Game Studios will release Forza Motorsport, the eighth installment in the Forza Motorsport sub-series and the 13th main installment in the overall Forza series - and now we've got a new glimpse at one of the tracks its bringing to the series.

Unlike previous entries in the Forza Motorsport series, the forthcoming game will not be numbered. Instead, it will simply be named Forza Motorsport. You are probably wondering: What does this change mean? Well, it means that the forthcoming game will reboot the Forza Motorsport franchise and usher in a new era of games in the sub-series.

Ahead of its release this October, developer Turn 10 Studios has been providing fans with sneak peeks of the tracks, some of them real and some fabricated, that will feature in the game. After announcing tracks like Road America and the Kyalami Grand Prix, the studio has now unveiled a new one: the Suzuka Circuit.

No, not Suzuki, thought we understand why some might make that mistake. Located in Japan, the Suzuka Circuit is very popular in racing circles. It has a lot of corners which makes it tricky and a test for even the most experienced racers.

The Forza Motorsport Twitter account explains it best. It wrote, "Suzuka features some of the most iconic and recognizable corners of any track in the world. From the 'S' Curves to the Degners, from Spoon to 130R, it's easy to see why it's a favorite amongst drivers and fans alike."

The Suzuka Circuit is one of the most iconic and recognizable tracks in the sport and, as a result, has featured heavily in many racing franchises. It is also the favorite track of many gamers, per their own admission. Because of this, its inclusion in Forza Motorsport does not surprise us.

The studio also released a trailer via the Forza Motorsport YouTube channel that showcases the famous track. Although the trailer is short – it is just 30 seconds long – it looks promising. If the gameplay is anywhere as close as what the trailer shows, then it will certainly make for an exciting experience.

The Forza series of video games is one of the most popular racing video game franchises in the world. The series has enjoyed both critical acclaim and fan love over its existence and, with over 16 million units sold, is the sixth best-selling gaming franchise as of 2021. That said, it doesn't have a movie yet unlike some competitors.

The Suzuka Circuit is in Japan and the favorite track of many gamers.

Given how long it's been since the last Forza Motorsport entry, fans are really looking forward to this installment. The game will have both single-player and multiplayer modes and will feature over 500 cars. Because of these features, we are tempted to call the game a success. That said, there is no way to truly know until we get our hands on it in October.

Forza Motorsport is currently available on pre-order for $69.99 for the Standard Edition. For an extra $30, you can pre-order the Premium Edition and get your hands on the game five days before it is widely available.

Forza Motorsport will be available on the PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S from October 10.
