The next Forza Motorsport game is coming to the Xbox and the PC in 2023

The newest installment in Turn 10 Studios' racing sim will ditch the number and will go by the name of just Forza Motosport.

We've got good news and bad news, Forza fans.

Forza Motorsport could end up setting a new Xbox Game Studios record once it hits the market next year.

The good news here is that Turn 10 Studios has finally confirmed the release date of the next Forza Motorsport game. Unfortunately, Forza Motorsport isn't coming out until Spring next year.

Forza Motorsport's official release date reveal came at the 2022 Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, which saw a new trailer for the game make its debut. Unfortunately, Microsoft didn't exactly talk much about the game save for drooling about how awesome and realistic it is. But, one thing that Microsoft did reaffirm at the event is that the next Forza Motorsport won't have a number in its title.

Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games typically alternate years for their Forza games and fans have come to love this set-up. Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon are fundamentally different games. The latter are arcade-style open-world racers set in fictional versions of a real-life city and its surroundings. Meanwhile, the former are track-based experiences that feature a mix of fictional and licensed race tracks.

After Playground released Forza Horizon 5 last year to much critical acclaim, it was all but guaranteed that Forza Motorsport was next. The only logical question was if Turn 10 would release Forza Motorsport this year or next year, and now we finally know the answer to this question.

Forza Motorsport will have a lot to live up to, but we believe that Turn 10 will meet if not exceed expectations.

As with Forza Horizon 6, Forza Motorsport will come out on the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, as well as the Game Pass, in Spring 2023.
