At this point, you can almost expect, at any point time, one upcoming big movie or another to have a crossover with Fortnite. Earlier this year, Fortnite had several collaborations with films such as Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Space Jam: A New Legacy, among others. Now, it appears that Epic Games is gearing up for another massive crossover. This time, dataminers have found files inside Fortnite that suggest that a potential tie-in with The Matrix Resurrections is in the works.

When is the Fortnite x Matrix crossover coming out?
After the fourth The Matrix film got an official title at this year's CinemaCon with a new trailer released back in September along with a premiere date, it was only a matter of time before we found out what kind of marketing promotions Warner Bros. had in store for the highly anticipated sequel.
With only a few weeks to go before the film's premiere on December 24, it makes sense for Epic Games to release a Fortnite x Matrix crossover soon.
According to files found by dataminers, the Fortnite x Matrix crossover will feature skins based on Keanu Reeves' Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss' Trinity, both of which are set to reprise their role in The Matrix Resurrections.

If the rumors are true, then Keanu Reeves will have two of his most iconic roles available in Fortnite as skins (three if you count Reaper, which is obviously inspired by his John Wick character). Of course, this shouldn't come off as a total surprise.
Fortnite's collaborations know no bounds. After hosting another virtual concert with Ariana Grande earlier this year, Epic confirmed a Fortnite x Naruto collaboration. These are just some of the many more examples of popular franchises that Fortnite has collaborated with these past few months alone.
Just keep in mind that this is not confirmed information yet.
