'Fortnite' Crew Subscription Skin For February Revealed

Epic has announced an interesting new skin coming this February to wrap up the game's current lore. This new skin is available only to those players who are part of the Fortnite Crew subscription. The new members-only skin is Vi, a member of the Fox Clan. The Fox Clan is a group of Kitsune mask-wearing characters such as season five mascot Drift.

What Is Fortnite Crew Subscription?

January had the Green Arrow skin pack

The Fortnite Crew subscription is Fortnite's monthly subscription, costing $11.99. It unlocks the ongoing battle pass of the game while also providing 1,000 V-Bucks. An exclusive monthly skin pack is also a feature of Fortnite Crew membership. For January 2021, the Fortnite Crew Pack gave subscribers a Green Arrow outfit, a tactical quiver, and a boxing glove arrow. Needless to say, the January 2021 crew pack includes Chapter 2: Season battle pass and the aforementioned 1,000 V-Bucks.

Earlier this month, subscribers experienced various issues with Fortnite Crew though. For those Xbox Fortnite Crew members, they found themselves unable to unsubscribe from the service. They also reported delays in their free 1,000 V-Bucks.

Epic also made a poor PR move, when it allowed players to signup mid-December and be able to get both December and January skin, which did not benefit those early adopters of the subscription service.

Due to this controversy, Epic issued a free members-only emote to all past and present Fortnite crew members. Qualifying players just need to log in anytime until February 15, 2021, to claim this. Epic also outlined how Fortnite Crew works, highlighting that each member receives the current month's pack, including the new pack for the next month, provided that they are still active members of the service. Because of this, anybody is qualified to claim the new Crew Packs that are released before their next billing date.

Epic also promised to eliminate current and future issues and bring more content to the subscription service.

February New Skin For Fornite Crew

Vi in all her glory

Vi's reveal was teased through weird social media posts and a temporary fake takeover of the game's official Twitter account. During this takeover, the Twitter account's background image was temporarily changed to an image having Vi, Drift, and Catalyst, all members of the Fox Clan, jumping over the roofs of the buildings of Lucky Landing, a location only found in Fortnite's old map. Fans theorize that this location might return this season.

Vi's set includes the character skin, back bling, and a variant of the pickaxe, now all with two detailed styles. There's also a weapon skin and a new loading screen - these are new items that did not appear in previous monthly offerings.
