Elon Musk's love for video games is pretty well known. A new biography for the eccentric billionaire reveals that he had a rather peculiar request from ex-partner Amber Heard.

According to a biography written by Walter Isaacson, Musk requested his former partner, the internet favourite person to hate, Heard, to cosplay the Overwatch character, Mercy. If we're being honest, Heard resembles the blonde female support character from the Activision Blizzard Game quite a bit. Mercy sports angelic wings attached to her battle suit and wears a headpiece that resembles a Halo.

The unusual request was made by Musk on the set of DC Films' Aquaman in which Heard played a significant role along wutg Jason Momoa. Isaacson shared that Musk made the request simply because his ex-partner reminded him of Mercy, his favorite character in Overwatch. Heard reportedly spent two months working on the cosplay.

"[Musk] told her that she reminded him of Mercy, his favourite character in […] Overwatch," Isaacson wrote. "So she spent two months designing and commissioning a head-to-toe costume so she could role-play for him."

Heard, the veteran actress, wasn't out of her element in cosplaying as a fictional character for her former partner. "I guess I could be called a geek for someone who can also be called a hot chick," Heard said of the request to cosplay as Mercy.

The tech billionaire recently shared a photo of Heard in her Mercy cosplay outfit on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter). This comes after the news of his unusual request became public through the new biography. "She did dress up as Mercy. It was awesome," Musk wrote.

Musk's affinity for playing video games is a huge part of his daily life. The billionaire reportedly played FromSoftware's Elden Ring until 5:30 a.m. after deciding to purchase the social media platform Twitter for $44 billion because he was stressed. "Instead of sleeping, he played until 5:30 in the morning," former partner Grimes told Isaacson.

Musk and Heard dated in 2016 and 2017 but the biography revealed that the billionaire pursued the actress since 2012. The relationship between the pair reportedly ended as a result of their incompatible personalities. "Elon loves fire, and sometimes it burns him," Heard commented on the split.

Heard will be returning in Aquaman 2 which comes out later this year.

Prior to her relationship with Musk, Heard dated actor Johnny Depp from 2012 until their marriage in February 2015. It didn't last much longer after as the actress filed for divorce a year later. The falling out was later the subject of a highly publicized defamation trial between the former mates.

Both suffered significant setbacks in their careers as a result of the divorce and the subsequent defamation trial. During the hearing, it was revealed that Depp was dropped from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise after accusations of domestic abuse. Heard also claimed that her role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was scaled back as a result of the highly publicized court case.

    1. I saw memes but I don't go on Twitter much these days. I thought it was a joke too. Props to her. This is insanely BASED.

  1. The fact that she spent 2 months and ended up with that is just sad. I have seen way better cosplays of Mercy. Who the heck did she hire?
