It's been almost three years since we last saw EA and DICE release a Battlefield game. However, as most gamers already know by now, it won't be long until we see a new Battlefield game. Battlefield 6, or whatever its name is, has already been confirmed to release sometime this 2021.
While EA and DICE have kept their lips shut regarding Battlefield 6 over the last few months, the official Battlefield Twitter account just dropped some pretty major news.
Battlefield 6 Reveal in June Teased by EA
An earlier leak suggested that a new Battlefield trailer is set to drop on May 7. However, once May 7 came and no trailer was revealed, fans started speculating about why it was never released. Although it could very well have been chalked up to the leak being false, many believed that it had something to do with China's Long March 5B rocket.
For those that don't know, there was a very distinct possibility that China's Long March 5B rocket would drop in a populated area. As a result, some people blamed the supposed trailer's delay on EA waiting to see where the rocket would land, as leaked screenshots showed that the trailer would have prominently featured an exploding rocket.
Now that the rocket has landed, there's still no news of a Battlefield 6 trailer. Still, it hasn't stopped another leaked information from appearing. This time around, speculations arose about the possibility of a Battlefield 6 reveal trailer dropping anytime between May 10 to May 17.
Not too long after though, the official Battlefield Twitter account hinted that the trailer won't drop until June.
With that said, it will be interesting to see when in June exactly the first-ever Battlefield 6 trailer will drop. It's worth keeping in mind that Electronic Arts won't be directly involved with E3 2021. This would've been the perfect time for the next Battlefield game to make its long-awaited debut. However, if the game does appear at E3 2021, there is a huge possibility that the AAA shooter will do so as part of Xbox's conference.
There has been rumors swirling around the next Battlefield 6 game and that it will launch on the Xbox Game Pass. Considering how much money Microsoft seems willing to throw at studios to improve the library of the Xbox Game Pass, we wouldn't be surprised if this was true. Battlefield 6 being part of E3 2021 by way of Xbox would all but confirm that this would be the case.
Of course, neither EA nor Microsoft has confirmed any of this yet. However, it's worth noting that EA and Microsoft have partnered together before.
Speaking of showcases, if Battlefield 6 does appear on-stage at E3 2021, then we suspect that it will merely be a reveal trailer. This would then pave the way for a full gameplay showcase for EA Play Live 2021 in July.
In other news, EA recently hosted an investor presentation that revealed that EA and DICE are aiming for an October to December release window for Battlefield 6.
