A few days ago, there were rumors that EA was preparing to release a new Elite Edition for Battlefield 2042. This is now confirmed as the bundle is available for purchase on the Epic Games Store and PlayStation Store for $99.99 or $89.99 for EA Play Members. Players who already own the base game can upgrade to the Elite Edition for $29.99.
The Battlefield 2042 Elite Edition includes the base game, all four seasons of content, and special cosmetic items. This bundle will help new and returning players catch up with all the previous seasons of content that they missed.
What is coming with the Battlefield 2042 Elite Edition
The new Elite Edition will include everything that has been released for Battlefield 2042, including the 17+ maps that are currently available for the game as well as access to all 35 weapons and 14 specialists. Also included in the package is the "Lost World" Epic Cosmetic Bundle. What we know about Battlefield 2042 Season 5: New Dawn
EA also recently confirmed the upcoming Season 5: New Dawn is launching on June 7th. One of the biggest changes coming with the new season is the addition of Squad Management. Players can now join specific squads and create their own. The new system will add a range of new features and interfaces to the first-person shooter.
The new season will add the XCE Bar bolt action rifle, the GEW-46 assault rifle, and the BFP.50 hand cannon. Players will also have access to the Spring Grenade, AT Grenade, and Mini Grenades in Season 5.
Season 5 will see the introduction of the Reclaimed Map set in the wilderness of Czechia. The new battleground will have six base locations and a good mix of forest and urban areas.
DICE will also release the reworked Hourglass map dubbed Hourglass 2.0. The map area is now smaller, condensing the action towards the middle of the zone. The map now features destroyed military hardware that will serve as cover for fighters.
Season 5 will also have a mid-season event and six new vault weapons.
Battlefield 2042 Elite Edition and Season 5: New Dawn are coming to the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
