Following last week's unfortunate announcement that the eagerly anticipated Star Wars Jedi: Survivor game would be delayed by at least six weeks, EA has partly made up for the delay by gifting fans with a nine-minute gameplay teaser.

The video shows protagonist and one of the last Jedi Cal Kestis repairing his starship, The Mantis, after it crashes on the new planet Koboh. Furthermore, we witness Kestis engaging multiple Battle Droids in combat while wielding lightsabers and employing deadly attacks using the Force.
Although the gameplay doesn't reveal much about the plot, there is a considerable improvement in environment design and graphical fidelity. The upcoming action-adventure game was scheduled to release on March 17. However, game developer Respawn Entertainment announced that the game would be delayed in a statement that read:
For the last three years, the Jedi team here at Respawn has poured its collective heart and soul into Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and we are proud to say the next chapter in the tale of Cal Kestis is content complete.
We are now focused entirely on the final stage: bug fixes to enhance performance, stability, polish, and most importantly, the player experience.
In order for the team to hit the Respawn quality bar, provide the team the time they need, and achieve the level of polish our fans deserve, we have added six crucial weeks to our release schedule – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now launch globally on April 28th.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was both a critical and financial success, filling a much needed void, as video games in the space opera franchise have been too few and far between ever since EA snatched up rights just about the same time as Disney kicked off its own canon.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be the sequel to the successful 2019 title, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on April 28.
