Drew McIntyre out, Roman Reigns in for Money in the Bank in UK

However, Drew McIntyre has been removed from the lineup for the upcoming event, drawing speculation that he's on his way out of the WWE.

Drew McIntyre continues to sit out of the WWE after WrestleMania 39. Since then, there have been talks that he's leaving the WWE nearly three years after he carried the wrestling promotion on his back during the COVID-19 pandemic. But, while there's never been a confirmation from either party of his departure or his discontent with his role, the latest news from the WWE might have confirmed that it has shown McIntyre the door out.

It appears that the reports of the ongoing contract dispute between the WWE and Drew McIntyre weren't exaggerated.

According to the latest announcement, the upcoming Money in the Bank event in the United Kingdom will feature Roman Reigns but not the hometown hero, Drew McIntyre.

The Scottish warrior is popular among fans in the UK. To date, To date, many reportedly still can't get over the fact that the first British world champion lost to Reigns at last year's Clash at the Castle in Wales.

It doesn't help that the WWE hasn't explained why McIntyre is no longer part of the advertised lineup. Fans are currently in the dark, scratching their hands and speculating on the reason behind this unforeseen development.

It's indeed a big surprise as McIntyre's popularity, especially among UK fans, is undeniable.

Drew McIntyre deserves to be part of the main event scene in the WWE.

It's unclear why McIntyre isn't part of Money in the Bank but it's also interesting that Roman Reigns is going to be there. By then, The Tribal Chief will have extended his 1,000-day reign at the top of the WWE food chain, which starts on May 27 at Night of Champions.

The consensus is Cody Rhodes will continue his pursuit of Roman Reigns' title belts following his feud with Brock Lesnar. It's understood that the best way for Rhodes to get a shot at both belts without jumping brands is to secure the titular prize at the said event on July 1. By winning the Money in the Bank, Rhodes can cash in his prize and earn a shot at Reigns at SummerSlam on August 5.

However, if the Tribal Chief is going to be in the United Kingdom, we aren't sure quite yet why he'll be there. Is he going to be defending his title? Or, is he going to be teaming up with Solo Sikoa again? If that's the case, then does that mean that Reigns and Sikoa will lose to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens at Night of Champions?

For now, fans can only wait in excitement to see how Money in the Bank unfolds.

The AEW sure could use a talent like Drew McIntyre if he leaves the WWE.

Until then, the next PPV, Night of Champions, will be on May 27, which will be highlighted by the match-up between Seth Rollins and AJ Styles for the World Heavyweight Championship.
