Rockstar Games might be getting a lot of flack these days, but it keeps on chugging along. After all, what do you expect from a studio that created the Grand Theft Auto franchise? Having said that, Rockstar recently announced its plans to hold a GTA Online event in early October. Fast forward to today and we've come across useful intel that suggests Rockstar has tapped a music legend for its upcoming event.

Is Dr. Dre going to be in the next GTA Online event?
Gwil34, an Instagram travel influencer, chanced on the Master of Mixology who revealed to him that he's going to release new music for a Grand Theft Auto game in December. This coincides with Dr. Dre's launch window for his upcoming album, which would make it appear that Rockstar and Dr. Dre are cooking up a sequel performance to end the year.
If this is true, it wouldn't be the first time that Dr. Dre's been a part of a GTA game. He's lent several of his tracks to Grand Theft Auto V and San Andreas. He also appeared, albeit briefly, in one of the missions before the grand heist following 2020's Cayo Perico update. Meanwhile, Rockstar previously teased in its announcement that the upcoming event will have "well-known contacts and family friends."
Of course, it's best to take everything that we just said with a grain of salt. Until Rockstar or Dr. Dre officially confirm their involvement, nothing is for certain.
Speaking of Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar finally confirmed Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy. The bundle, which includes remastered versions of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas, has been subject to much speculation these past few months. The Trilogy is set to release in the next few months, with its rumored price tag already drawing a lot of negative criticism.
