One year ago, Gameloft released Disney Dreamlight Valley, a life simulation adventure game populated with Disney and Pixar characters. The game was an instant hit critically and commercially with a 9/10 rating on Steam and a 96% approval rating on Google.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is intended as a free-to-play game. However, the only way you can play it at the moment is through early access, which means that you either pay for an Xbox Game Pass or purchase a Founder's Pack. Notwithstanding, the game will be released as a free-to-play later this year.

Recently, Gameloft announced it will be releasing a physical version of Disney Dreamlight Valley, titled the Cozy Edition, for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 consoles. The Cozy Edition comprises a disc, exclusive content, and extras – physical and digital.

The physical extras include a sticker sheet and a double-sided poster, while the digital extras will include Raccoon Companion skins, 14,500 Moonstones, a Cottage House Style, and a Cheshire Cat Sweater item, which the user can use for their avatar. The Cheshire Cat Sweater and the Raccoon Companion skins are exclusive and, because of this, will only be available to people who buy Disney Dreamlight Valley Cozy Edition.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is also available on the Nintendo Switch and Gameloft plans to release a Cozy Edition for the platform, too. However, unlike the physical edition for the consoles that comprises a disc, the Cozy Edition for Switch will come with a download code. Gameloft explained that this disparity is due to platform limitations on the Switch, which makes us think they couldn't avoid it.

By the way, Disney Dreamlight Valley is due for a major update. Sometime this month, Gameloft plans to add a new realm and content based on Beauty and the Beast to the game.
