DayZ Receives Hotfix On Both Consoles and PC Versions

Bohemia Interactive has released the patch notes for the latest DayZ update, version 1.11.1. The PC and console versions of the game received updates, albeit with different effects, with the Xbox One and PS4 including a fix to the client that meant it would crash during base building. The PC version did not suffer from the same issue.

For both versions, the bugs that prevent weapons from spawning with attachments, cause flag pole refreshes too often, and locked players away from using the VSS iron sights when using the PSO optics, were ironed out along with other fixes.

What Is DayZ?

DayZ is a survival game that was based on the ARMA 2 mod. It had a long early access period in PC before it was officially released back in 2018. It was subsequently released for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and had a mixed reception from the game’s media. The game enjoys a substantial fanbase, however.
