Data mined info reveals Fortnite will get a new First-Person mode

First-person mode requesters may find solace in knowing that the mode might be coming to Fortnite sooner than they think.

Fortnite has been going all out with its creative ideas, introducing characters from different universes and pop culture. Fortnite is known for its collaborations, and it is safe to assume that the exciting "original" battle royale is about to get even better.

Fortnite FPS mode featured

Fortnite recently got a new update that brings the iconic Geralt of Rivia from the Witcher series into the game, along with adding more Dragon Ball content in the form of Piccolo and Son Gohan.

While the new content is the highlight for the regular players of Fortnite, it comes packed with a whole bunch of secrets and potential future content that the data miners were able to dig out.

According to the new data mined info, Epic Games is currently working on some new huge features for Fortnite, including a first-person mode and a wanted system similar to the classic GTA games.

The first-person mode has been a rumor for quite some time now, and it won't be a surprise if it is introduced in the coming months. The rumors first surfaced when the addition of Zero-Build mode was still not out.

According to a reliable Fortnite insider, Shiina on Twitter, the game files for a first-person mode in Battle Royale were added with the new update.

This will likely be a separate game mode, as Fortnite is popular for its Third Person Mode and incentivizes players to purchase skins. Without a third-person mode, players won't need to purchase the skins.

Another route they can go down is to have Third-Person Mode while moving around and transitioning to a First-Person Mode when aiming down sights, similar to how Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II implemented its Third-Person Mode. Shiina also shared this concept in a Tweet that closely represents how the First-Person Mode will look like, although the demonstration is a bug, so the final animations will definitely look much smoother and more refined, of course.

In another report, HYPEX, a credible Fortnite data miner, shared information about a GTA-like wanted system coming to Fortnite. HYPEX states that players can pay 100 Gold to reduce heat. He also shared a poster in a Tweet, which is most likely a new skin coming with implementing the system in the future.

Perhaps this could be a feature similar to the kill leader on Apex Legends or the Most Wanted bounty system from Warzone. But seeing how it is dubbed as the "GTA-like wanted system," it is possible that this has more to do with the AI cops than the real players.

Not much is known about either of the features except the data-mined content. We will know more when Epic Games officially announces either of these new features. In the meantime, players can look forward to welcoming Isaac Clarke from Dead Space to their collection of unique character skins.
