Call of Duty has an awesome new operator skin coming to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 that will feel right at home on Ashika Island.

Activision just released the Dark Rituals operator skin for Horangi yesterday. Loads of players have been rocking the new skin and weapon blueprint on Multiplayer, Warzone, and DMZ. However, something cooler is on its way.
The official Call of Duty Twitter account just revealed that Shredder from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is landing in Modern Warfare 2. The new operator skin will be arriving in two weeks, just after the midpoint of Season 2.
The tweet did not officially name Shredder in the teaser. However, fans will easily recognize the ominous figure as the arch-nemesis of the Ninja Turtles from the character design. The operator skin has the iconic three-pointed helmet and clawed gauntlets.

The addition of Shredder as an operator skin is a first for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This may also be the first crossover event from the title since it was released in October. Finally, the teaser indicates that the operator skin will be available to players of the free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone 2.
For now, the teaser shows off the helmet, claws, and boots of the operator before the perspective changes to a familiar full-body silhouette. There is also a shot of an ooze-filled canister with the initials TCRI written on it, which stands for the Techno Cosmic Research Institute, a legitimate front used by the villains in the cartoon series.
Fun fact: a TCRI canister caused the mutation of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Rafael, and Master Splinter.
Based on the dual swords that Shredder is wielding in the trailer, this may be an operator skin for Ronin. It is also fitting that Activision chose to go with a ninja-themed skin since Season 2 introduced Ashika Island as the new playable map.
Interestingly, a new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem was recently released. We're not sure what the connection is but their announcement suggests that the new operator skin might be a promotional tie-in.
It's unclear if Activision is planning more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossovers in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
We'll find out more once the new operator skin arrives on March 21.
UPDATE (March 9): Activision Blizzard has confirmed the Shredder Tracer Pack Operator bundle.
