Bungie makes the Destiny 2 x Fortnite crossover event official

The crossover content includes new skins, maps, and emotes.

A couple of days ago, we published an article that dataminers had found a collaboration event between Destiny 2 and Fortnite. Dataminers @MidaRado and @GinsorKR both leaked the info regarding the partnership between Bungie and Epic Games.

Fortnite characters will be available as skins in Destiny 2.

Yesterday, the official announcement from the two gaming companies confirmed that the crossover event is indeed taking place. It turns out that fans of both games will get more than just a couple of skins.

As we predicted, Bungie revealed the crossover event during the Destiny 2 showcase event where they also unveiled the next DLC, Lightfall. The annual event also highlighted the new Season of Plunder content which features weekly missions, activities, weapons, and loot.

Bungie and Epic Games will have a crossover event starting August on 23 involving Destiny 2, Fortnite, and Fall Guys.

Destiny 2

As a part of the event, Destiny 2 players can unlock the three new armor ornament sets for each of the three main classes. The three new armor ornament sets are the Knightly Noire Titan, Painted Kitsune Warlock, and Eternal Vengeance Hunter.

For players getting a copy of Destiny 2 via the Epic Games Store, the 30th Anniversary pack will also be available for free. The Halo-inspired pack has the Gjallarhorn rocket launcher, Thorn armor set, access to the Grasp of Avarice dungeon, and other cosmetic items.

The 30th Anniversary Pack is a limited-time offer and will be free until August 31, 2022.

Fortnite

Destiny 2 characters will be heading to Fortnite in the crossover event.

We previously mentioned that Fortnite will crossover with Destiny 2. Fortnite players will be able to unlock the skins for popular Destiny 2 characters Commander Zavala, Ikora Rey, and The Stranger. Each of the characters will have a custom pickaxe, glider, and Back Bling to complete the Destiny 2 look.

Epic also teamed up with Team PWR and Bungie level designers to bring the Javelin-4 map in Fortnite. The new map features a special Control game mode where players can take on each other to control a zone.

Players can also choose to play as the Warlock, Hunter, and Titan in the crossover event map. Each class has its own custom loadout to further capture the feeling of playing Destiny 2.

Fall Guys

Fall Guys will be part of the crossover event. The Hunter, Titan, and Warlock will be available as cosmetic skins for the platform game as well as the Spicy Ramen celebration emote and four new Guardian nameplate designs.

The crossover event between Destiny 2 and Fall Guys starts on September 17.

There are a lot of things in store for fans of Destiny 2, Fortnite, and Fall Guys. Visit the Epic Games Store to get more news on the collaboration.
