Rockstar insiders claim that Bully 2 will be announced soon

According to insider information, Rockstar planned to reveal Bully 2 at The Game Awards 2021.

Rockstar Games is no one-trick pony. Even though most fans are waiting for a GTA VI announcement, the fan-favorite studio still has a couple of other IPs that it could dig into. Case in point, Bully. The 2006 title had all the makings that it shouldn't have sold as well as it did, but because Rockstar worked its usual magic, it went on to make its mark in the video game industry.

Only Rockstar would be brave enough to "dump" a gold mine of an IP like Bully.

During its original run on the PS2, Bully went on to win several accolades and sell 1.5 million units, which is not half bad, all things considered.

Unfortunately, Rockstar hasn't talked about a follow-up to Bully yet - until now.

Is Rockstar going to announce Bully soon?

It's definitely odd that Rockstar hasn't talked much about Bully 2 despite the fact that so many fans have been asking for it.
It's definitely odd that Rockstar hasn't talked much about Bully 2 despite the fact that so many fans have been asking for it.

With nearly two decades of no credible news about a sequel, Bully fans have been starved for a sequel for far longer than GTA fans. However, it appears that the wait could soon be over. According to Tom Henderson, a reputable leaker who occasionally dabbles in titles outside of Call of Duty and Battlefield, Rockstar was "expected" to announce Bully 2 at The Game Awards 2021. He added that "some people" saw Bully 2 material, suggesting that the reveal could happen soon because it did not happen at TGA 2021 for some reason.

Perhaps the most telling part about Henderson's leak is that he claims that some have reportedly seen a playable version of Bully 2.

With only Henderson's word to go on, this info might not be true. But, if it's any consolation, Henderson is the same person who said that GTA VI won't be released until 2025. This hasn't come true yet, but the longer that Rockstar refuses to announce anything related to GTA VI, the more that fans will wonder and speculate.

Having said that, Rockstar has its hands full at the moment. In addition to the next-gen version of GTA V next year and fixing GTA Trilogy, Rockstar is also working on support for Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online. Then there are the rumors that a remastered version of GTA IV is in the works along with GTA VI. Although Rockstar might have deep pockets, we don't think that the studio will risk trying to work on too many things at the same time, especially since Bully 2 is an entirely new game that's going to release to high expectations.

At the end of the day, the only way we'll know if Bully 2 is in development is if Rockstar confirms it.

Here's to hoping that we get an announcement from Rockstar real soon.
