Get ready to descend into the fiery pits of Hell on a budget, gamers! For the first time since its record-setting launch a little over two months ago, Blizzard's Diablo 4 is going on a demonic price-slashing spree that you'd be sinful to miss. We're not talking about some measly 5-10% cuts; hold onto your horns because we're diving deep into discounts of up to 25% across various editions of the game. And that's not all! In an unholy blend of gaming bargains, the other Diablo titles are also getting cut down to size.
Straight from the dark annals of Blizzard's Battle.net, here are the Diablo 4 discounts:
- Standard Edition: Originally $69.99, now a devilish $54.59 (that's 25% off for you math-challenged souls).
- Digital Deluxe Edition: Once $89.99, now cut down to $71.99 (a neat 20% off).
- Ultimate Edition: A reduction from $99.99 to $74.99 (that's 22% off, fiends).
But it's not just about Diablo 4. Get this, Diablo II: Resurrected is haunting your wallets with a whooping 67% discount, and Diablo 3 along with its Reaper of Souls expansion are stalking your savings with a 50% discount, which is great if you'd like to enjoy the game's "final" update.
Of course, you're not just gonna smash that buy button without knowing what treasures you'll unearth, right? So, what cosmic goodies can you expect with each edition?
For the Standard Edition, you can yourself a pair of rad Inarius Wings & an Inarius Murloc Pet in Diablo 3, an Amalgam of Rage Mount in World of Warcraft, and an Umber Winged Darkness Cosmetics Set in Diablo Immortal. Meanwhile, for the more expensive Digital Deluxe Edition, apart from everything in the Standard Edition, snag yourself a Temptation Mount and Hellborn Carapace Mount Armor in Diablo 4, along with a seasonal battle pass unlock.
Finally, for the Ultimate Edition, along with everything from the Deluxe, you'll be able to score a Wings of the Creator emote and skip the first 20 levels of the Battle Pass. Now, who wouldn't want to flaunt those feathery wings?
But, that's not all. Starting from September 1 through September 5, the Blessed Mother (who, by the way is Lilith in the Diablo lore) will bestow upon you a whopping 25% increase in XP and Gold in both the Seasonal and Eternal Realms for all World Tiers. Perfect for the newbies and veterans planning to burn through mobs like Hellfire through brimstone.
Oh, and don't forget the upcoming Season of Blood launching on October 17, which is, for better or for worse, what will await those who already own copies of Diablo 4 or are thinking of buying one because of the discount.
You may wonder, what's the deal with Diablo 4 going on sale so soon? Though it's true that gamers have a tendency to overestimate how much early discounts indicate a game's success or failure, one thing is for sure: this is a pretty hefty sale considering how recent the game's launch is.
Could it be a promotional tactic to hype up the forthcoming Season of Blood? Or maybe it's a sign that Diablo 4 wants to ensnare as many souls as possible. Either way, you shouldn't look a gift demon in the mouth.
In any case, keep in mind that this damned good deal runs only until September 5, so either summon some courage to grab these deals before they go back to the depths of Hell.
Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a fresh-faced Nephalem, now is the perfect time to take a plunge and (re)join the Eternal Conflict. With discounted prices and boosted XP and gold, the Prime Evils are begging you to come and play.
So, are you going to make a pact with Diablo 4 or let this opportunity go up in flames? The choice is yours, but don't forget, the clock is ticking, and Hell waits for no one.
It seems to be typical Blizzard fashion at this point. Wreck a game and then discount it to try to save face.
Diablo 4 went from being my favorite game of the year to one I don't even want to play anymore. It happened so fast too. What a shame.
Only Blizzard can mess up something so badly.
I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but when I was charged for something I did not want and they refused to refund me, the game is dead to me now.
Putting it on sale will not fix the mess they have created.
