EA Play and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get a Battlefield 2042 free trial

Electronic Arts just announced a 10-hour free trial period for Battlefield 2042 alongside a new Battlefield portal gameplay video.

Battlefield 2042 is going to release soon. Electronic Arts' next big AAA shooter finally launches on November 19. However, those who pre-ordered Battlefield 2042 and have active EA Play Pro subscriptions will get a chance to play the latest Battlefield game earlier than everyone else.

The upcoming Battlefield 2042 isn't technically free, but it is a nice added perk.

However, as it turns out, EA and DICE are giving even more people access to Battlefield 2042 on November 12.

Nearly everybody gets to play Battlefield 2042 early on

Battlefield 2042 is one of three highly anticipated shooters arriving just in time for the 2021 holidays.

According to recent estimates, there are roughly around 18 million Xbox Game Pass subscribers. It appears that all of them will be able to play Battlefield 2042 starting on November 12. But, that's not all. Those with active EA Play subscribers will have access to the game's early access trial as well. Subscribers to both services can play Battlefield 2042 for up to 10 hours before it releases on November 19.

Don't worry. EA Play Pro subscribers and those who pre-ordered Gold or Ultimate editions of Battlefield 2042 will be able to play for as long as they want on November 12.

EA and DICE didn't just announce good news for Battlefield 2042 fans either. Players also got a chance to see more gameplay footage from Battlefield 2042, including the Battlefield Portal that will let players design their custom matches. Just a few weeks ago, EA and DICE revealed more details about Hazard Zone, which is a unique game mode coming to Battlefield 2042.

Battlefield 2042 is unique from previous Battlefield games. Instead of having a single-player campaign, EA and DICE decided to forgo the single-player component entirely. This means that Battlefield 2042 will be a purely multiplayer affair.

Of course, EA and DICE aren't alone in their efforts for Battlefield 2042. EA also enlisted the help of Criterion Games.

Having said that, how audiences will receive Battlefield 2042 once it arrives will be a point of interest for the next couple of months. Battlefield 2042 will be available starting on November 19.
