Battfield's 2042 class system update is coming this week

Battlefield 2042 was still the fifth best-selling game in the US two years ago when it launched despite the negative reviews.

Gamers have been harshly critical of DICE's 2021 first-person shooter Battlefield 2042, particularly in light of the new specialist system that was added to the title. DICE has made amends over time, and this week will finally see the release of the long-awaited class system update.

The Battlefield 2042 3.2 update will have a redesigned class system that will divide specialists into Assault, Recon, Support, or Engineer classes. Additionally, the classes can be customized to include certain equipment, gadgets, and weapon skills.

The updated Breakaway map, which has been "streamlined and reduced in size to encourage more intensive encounters than you have previously experienced," will also be included in the update. The M39 EMR, MTAR-21, and PP-2000 are three new vault weapons that will feature too, along with suppressors, long-range scopes, and thermal scopes.

Update 3.2.0 is a major moment for the team as we have worked on the Return to the Class System for Battlefield 2042, alongside many other changes and improvements.

You’ve told us how you’d like to see gameplay evolve and we’re extremely excited to get those changes into your hands.

Last month, DICE disclosed some key details about the upcoming Seasons 4 and 5 of Battlefield 2042. A new recon Specialist and a "smaller, shorter, and linear" map created for close-quarters engagement will be introduced in Season 4.

No new Specialists will be introduced in Season 5. There will be a new map, though, which has been dubbed "a forgotten battleground that last saw combat in the Battlefield 4 era."

I can tell you all about the latest blockbusters and indie flicks, but I'll also sneak in some obscure references and dad jokes that will make you groan and roll your eyes. My reviews are like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get, but you'll probably want more. Link up with Caleb on Steam.
