Dave Bautista has officially retired from the WWE and put his wrestling days behind him. Of course, this doesn't mean fans have stopped fantasizing about his return to the ring. In fact, some thought that he was teasing a comeback with a recent photo.

Batista's recent post on Twitter shows him sporting a full beard and a dark-ish aesthetic reminiscent of The Undertaker.
Because of this, some speculated that Bautista was teasing his appearance at WrestleMania 39. A fun theory is he'll appear at a random RAW or SmackDown episode to lay the law on Dominic Mysterio, who's been very disrespectful to his father and Bautista's close friend, in the ring and in real life. This probably won't happen and the photo is probably just Bautista celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

Bautista is close to a decade removed from his heyday in the WWE where he was one of the wrestling promotion's biggest draws. He officially retired following his match against Triple H at WrestleMania 35 and he's since pursued acting full-time.
In addition to his now-iconic role as Drax the Destroyer in the MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, Bautista has starred in several more films since like Blade Runner 2049, Dune, Army of the Dead, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, and Knock at the Cabin.
Dave Bautista will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Dune: Part Two on May 5 and November 3, respectively. He also wants to be a part of Netflix's live-action adaptation of Gears of War, which recently signed its writer.
Wrestling fans had expected Bautista to be at WrestleMania 39 if only to induct his close friend, Rey Mysterio, as part of the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame. Instead, another close friend of the 619 luchador, the WCW icon, Konnan, will be the one to induct Mexico's favorite son.
It remains to be seen when Batista will be officially inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The 2023 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on March 31 with headliners like Rey Mysterio and The Great Muta.
