Animal Crossing: New Horizons closed out 2020 in the United Kingdom as the top-selling game in physical sales. It is also the fastest-selling game to shift six million copies in Japan, which it achieved back in November 2020. As of September 2020, the game had sold over 26 million units.
Even if the sales are incredible, Nintendo is still putting effort into improving Animal Crossing: New Horizons and adding more features. In today's free January update, the Festivale event is introduced and a variety of seasonal items are now available.

What Is The Festivale Event?
The Festivale Event commences this coming February 15 when Pave arrives on your island and brings with him some confetti and carnival spirit. Players will be able to capturer feathers with their net and then trade them with dance moves. Nintendo also hinted that there will be a "rainbow feather" which is very rare to obtain as it is extra difficult to catch.
The event will also add new reactions for sale in Nook's Cranny named Viva Festival Reaction Set. The reactions available for sale for a limited time so you better buy them when they are made available. Below are the reactions included in the Viva Festival Reaction Set:
- Feelin' It

For February Animal Crossing: New Horizons celebrates Groundhog Day, the Super Bowl, Valentines' Day, and Lunar New Year alongside the Festivale Event.
There will also be a new pair Nintendo Switch controllers available come February 14. The Tom Nook and Isabelle controllers are now available on Amazon for $25 each for pre-order. The Tom Nook controller is light aquamarine in color with brown accents and Tom Nook's graphic on the left side of the controller. Meanwhile, the Isabelle Controller is colored yellow and has her on the right side of the controller. These controllers are wired Pro Controllers.
