Amnesia: Rebirth, released in 2020, is the most recent game in the franchise. Nwo, the upcoming installment, Amnesia: The Bunker, is poised to be Frictional Games' most ambitious addition yet. However, the developers have announced a one-week delay to its release.

Originally scheduled for May 16, 2023, Amnesia: The Bunker's release has been pushed back to May 23, 2023. Frictional Games cites the need for final polishing as one reason for the delay, as explained in an official Twitter post.
Another significant factor is the highly-anticipated release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on May 12, 2023. In a press release, Frictional Games expressed its desire for players to enjoy all of May's game releases without feeling overwhelmed.
The studio's statement reads, "carefully timing the release to avoid a week packed with awesome titles from other talented studios. This thoughtful decision means you can fully immerse yourselves in each amazing gaming experience without feeling overwhelmed."
Amnesia: The Bunker was initially set to launch three days before LEGO 2K Drive and four days after The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom. By rescheduling, the game avoids being overshadowed by these blockbuster titles.
First revealed in December 2022, Amnesia: The Bunker introduces a new setting: a "desolate WW1 bunker." The game features a non-linear open world, physics-based interactions, and multiple solutions to puzzles. Additionally, each playthrough will have slight randomizations, and the inclusion of a Revolver marks a first for the series.
Players won't have to wait much longer, as Amnesia: The Bunker's release has only been delayed by a week. This change ensures that gamers can enjoy all of May's releases without feeling burnt out or overwhelmed. Amnesia: The Bunker is set to release on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, PlayStation, and Xbox on May 23, 2023.
